SCALE HOUSE OPERATOR:

The Scale House Attendant/Operator is the first point of contact for customers depositing E&P waste at our facility. Daily responsibilities include, performing initial inspection of loads, collecting, reviewing, and processing the appropriate paperwork. The Scale House attendant/operator also ensures the safety of all customers/visitors, and other employees through observation of company safety rules and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greets customers and answers questions accurately in a friendly, service-orientated manner.
  • Directs haulers and other traffic to appropriate location within the facility.
  • Ensures incoming material is manifested and not prohibited or unsafe.
  • Collects appropriate information to properly bill customers and track the type and quantity of waste entering the facility.
  • Completes transactions by providing customer a scale ticket, signing the manifest, and documenting/inputting the waste material received.
  • Communicates dispatch to management and other employees via a 2-way radio
  • Keeps immediate supervisor (Operations Manager) fully informed of all matters requiring his/her attention.
  • Provides general housekeeping of the Scale House.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, overtime and holidays as needed.

REQUIRED OPERATOR TRAINING:

The Scale House Attendant/Operator will undergo appropriate training that covers hazardous waste and PCB screening.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Clear communicator and team player.
  • Able to competently use computers and computer software.
  • Knowledge of office equipment including but not limited to, computer, phone, copier, Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

SKILLS PREFERRED:

  • One year scale house or relevant administrative experience.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for creating and executing within marketing and sales budget
  • Coordinate sales activity and schedule with General Manager
  • Organize sales plan/ strategies and report progress to GM
  • Implement meetings with potential clients at various levels (i.e., field personnel, management and corporate) to introduce PW and inform them of our services
  • Maintain direct line of communication with clients and industry representatives, in coordination with Client Administrator
  • Responsible for overall customer service and relationship management, along with Client Administrator
  • Routine meetings with customers to determine how we can improve customer satisfaction and meet needs for the various waste industries
  • Create/update/maintain all marketing materials (flyers, promotional items, etc.)
  • Handle all planning and execution of client entertainment/ functions
  • Represent PW at conferences, trade shows and local event sponsorships as required

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Highly organized, self-starter driven to produce results
  • Familiar with Oil & Gas Industry
  • Customer service/satisfaction orientated
  • Effective communicator with strong sales background
  • Willing to attend all necessary training to understand the basics of the landfill operation and acceptable waste for our facility

OTHER:

  • Reports directly to the General Manager

  • Position may evolve into management of future sales staff

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travel required to consistently meet with existing and potential clients/industry reps
  • Remote working allowed, but office hours required for PW meetings and as directed by the General Manager in either office location (Greeley and Grover, CO)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Compensation commensurate with experience level.
  • Salary Pay Range: $75,000+

GENERAL LABORER:

The Landfill General Laborer will receive regular, daily instruction from the Operations Manager. The Landfill General Laborer will follow the established policies and procedures of Pawnee Waste, in the execution of her/his duties, including adherence to the Pawnee Waste Health and Safety Plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manual labor, including, greasing and maintenance of equipment, moving pumps and hoses, keeping landfill clean and presentable
  • Fueling and servicing vehicles, equipment, and machinery
  • Cross training on equipment and machinery
  • Heavy lifting, moving items from one place to another within the landfill
  • Mowing, weeding, and landscaping
  • Assisting with dust control
  • Answering phone in a professional and enthusiastic manner when needed
  • Maintaining the interior of facilities by assisting other employees and departments where needed
  • Assisting customers with unloading their vehicles
  • Removing debris caused from extreme weather conditions
  • Directing traffic at the site as necessary
  • Performing work assignments received from superiors, normally without close supervision
  • Supporting other staff, particularly landfill and trucking staff, in executing assigned tasks. This includes assistance as required during the absence of other staff due to illness, vacation, or other leave.

Occasionally, other operations duties may be assigned to the Landfill General Laborer, by the Operations Manager, or designate, on a short-duration basis.

The Landfill General Laborer will be expected to comply with all Pawnee Waste plans, policies and procedures, including codes of ethics and behavior, and present a professional and respectful image on behalf of Pawnee Waste to supervisors and employees, Commissioners, stakeholder residents, customers, suppliers and contractors, regulatory and elected officials, and the general public.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge, skill and ability in the maintenance and servicing of the equipment at the work site, or when the equipment is in the shop for repair, servicing and/or maintenance
  • Ability to carry out written or oral instructions
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills, such as operating equipment safely and able to avoid accidents
  • Exhibit a high level of initiative, work performance and responsibility in the operation of equipment and the performance of duties.

COMMUNICATIONS/INTERACTIONS:

The Landfill General Laborer will be expected to interact with and consult daily, with the Operations Manager, and other Pawnee Waste managers and staff, in the execution of her/his assigned responsibilities.

The Landfill General Laborer will have limited interaction with vendors, stakeholder residents, and customer waste generators and hauling contractors.

The Landfill General Laborer will consult with industry peers, from time-to-time, in both informal situations and formal training courses and conferences, to learn, and share knowledge of new techniques and best industry practices.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The position requires daily work at a landfill site, in various climactic conditions, ranging from extreme cold to extreme heat.
  • There is a risk of exposure to dust, and potentially toxic materials.
  • General Laborers to wear all assigned personal protective equipment and maintain same in proper condition for use.
  • The position may require occasional overtime or irregular hours on short notice.

EHS Manager

The Environmental Health, and Safety Manager will provide leadership necessary to develop a first class EHS culture. This will include development of programs, training, and compliance auditing to ensure that the companies are complying with all regulatory standards and providing safe working environments at various facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible risk management for Environmental Health and Safety for various portfolio companies
  • Provide EHS leadership to all companies located in Colorado and Wyoming
  • Develop and improve programs as necessary to enhance safety and environmental culture and performance
  • Interface with staff at facilities as needed to audit, train, coach and ensure compliance

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred; Master’s degree desirable.
  • Five years of related experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Compensation commensurate with experience level.
  • Salary Pay Range: $75,000 – $120,000
